February New Letter

CHAIRMAN'S CHAT

Well another success with the panto and Ann's brainwave for the script was praised by everyone who saw the show. I do think that we have had a great year in CUDOS and we have also welcomed some new talent to the society which is always a good thing. Adjudications for DRS and the Panto were glowing and I hope some awards come towards us this year. Congratulations to George on a great casting for the spring show which is going to have the audience rolling in the aisles. We are now hurtling towards the AGM and hope to see many of you there. See you all soon in hopefully warmer weather. Polly

PANTOMIME- SNOW WHITE –

Another very successful panto for CUDOS. Wendy was delighted to be able to put out the ‘House Full’ sign at each performance. Congratulations to Lottie Dixon who was awarded the Chairmans Cup for Endeavour at the after-show party.

There was a huge turnout for the auditions giving the audition panel a massive task in casting.

This farce takes place in a stylishly converted French farmhouse. Bernard is planning to entertain his mistress while his wife, Jacqueline, is away. He has arranged for a cordon bleu cook to prepare dinner, and invited along his best friend Robert to provide an alibi. Except Robert doesn’t exactly know why he has been invited, Jacqueline does not leave for the weekend, the cook gets mistaken for the mistress, and the mistress gets mistaken for the cook - all of which leads to hilarious confusion and improvisation.
