Half way through the year already - rehearsals have started for DRS and things are going well. Don't forget to put in your diaries the date July 15th for the murder mystery dinner in Victoria Hall I think it is the best plot yet so get your names down- £10 for a three course meal and entertainment is really cheap! Bring you own wine and I will definitely see you there - meanwhile lets enjoy the rare sighting of the sun. See you soon. Polly

We are pleased to announce the postponed “School Reunion” murder mystery hosted by Ann and Polly will now take place on Saturday 15th July. Cost £10 to include 3 course dinner (please bring your own drinks, glasses will be provided). RELAY FOR LIFE 22nd July
We are supporting this local event by singing for approx. 25-30 minutes at 2:30pm on July 22nd at Wadham School. Dendy is overseeing this and we meet again at 7:45pm on Monday 22nd May in the Victoria Hall. There will be 3 rehearsals on Sundays 2nd/9th/16th July at 2:30pm in the Victoria Hall, all are welcome to participate including junior members.

VACANCY – ARCHIVIST
Miles Browning is stepping down from this role after many years, and we are looking for someone to carry on as Archivist to maintain our “history” is recorded. Please let Polly or a Committee member know if you can help. Thank you Miles for all the hard work you have put into this, it is much appreciated.

Congratulations to George Flint and Sian Doble on their recent engagement.
It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Robin Wyatt and Olga Johnston.
Robin was President of CUDOS for several years and he and Heather have been very supportive of CUDOS in many ways, for many years.
Olga was a member of Crewkerne Players also CUDOS, for very many years, in recognition being awarded Life Membership by the Players. An excellent actress who also served on the Committee and as Chairman.
They will both be greatly missed and we send our condolences to Heather and family and to Olga’s family. You are in our thoughts.

DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS TICKETS ON SALE MONDAY 19th JUNE!
Crewkerne should be warned to watch out for scoundrels in September when CUDOS next production hits the stage. Adapted from the 1998 film starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin, "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - The Musical" tells the tale of two competing con artists, Lawrence Jamison and Freddy Benson, in their bid to win the ladies and their cash in the setting of luxurious south of France. This musical comedy contains lots of fabulous song and dance numbers as well as a huge twist in the tale! The show and its dirty rotten cast appear at the Victoria hall, Crewkerne from the 13th to the 16th September. CHAIRMAN'S CHAT
It is with great sorrow that we are all lessened by the death of Colin Miller. A great talent and a great friend - he will be much missed and our love goes out to Sue and her family. Cudos did well to sing with such gusto through their tears at the funeral. God bless you Colin.
On a personal note may I thank everyone who was connected with Bazaar and Rummage - it was a great play and the cast were stupendous. Many thanks to all the usual team and also to Lucy who put in so much enthusiasm. Congratulations to all who received a nomination at the Cinderella Cup Awards. I am delighted at the enthusiasm in the Society for 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels’ - see you at the auditions. Polly x

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of one of our members, Colin Miller. Colin joined the family only a few years ago and soon became an invaluable member with his tremendous drumming skills and always a great help at set builds. We showed him our appreciation when we voted for him to receive the Neill McClintock trophy for outstanding contribution over the year. Colin will be greatly missed and we send all our love and thoughts to his wife Sue and the rest of his family.xxx
